RM: I noticed you and Craig looking at each other a lot. The less you play, the more they hear. Now, I'm using two 20" bass drums, 10", 12" and 14" power toms on top of the kit, 16" and 18" floor toms, and an 8 x 14 wood-shell snare drum, which is really a good,.sounding drum. How do you draw the line between playing freely enough for yourself and at the same time, being consistent enough that the rest of the band knows what you're doing? I did not like it, one bit. And, then after that, I continued looking for doctors, maybe hoping Id hear what I wanted to hear. So John said, "Well, we've got a gig tomorrow night. . Electronically, you have to be careful with that because you've got electronic components in there that are going to get smashed if you hit them too hard. So they thought that I would be a good addition to the band. But Im sure that if they could have been successful the way they originally set out to be, that would have been fine with them. And their friend was kind of hovering over them with a camera. I told him l never sign contracts that are one-sided. I'd like to sit at home and work on that sort of stuff. But thats okay.
